Bianchi excluded from race one

Jules Bianchi has been excluded from the first Formula Renault 3.5 race of the season after his car failed post-race scrutineering. The Ferrari junior driver finished second to race winner Nick Yelloly, but his Tech 1 car was found to contravene the championship's technical regulations due to he use of elastic Belleville washers in the stacking of the car's limited slip differential. According to the stewards, that put the car in breach of article 19.15 of the sporting and technical regulations, but Bianchi told AUTOSPORT that Tech 1 intends to appeal the decision

Salazar: WRC harder than Dakar
[info]tameracuda
Former Formula 1 racer Eliseo Salazar has admitted Rally Argentina is proving tougher than he expected, with the 57-year-old describing Friday's opening day as harder than a day on Dakar. Salazar, who is driving a Mini John Cooper Works WRC this week, has competed on the Dakar twice, but the 120-mile opening day of Rally Argentina was a tall order for the World Rally Car rookie. "In Dakar, OK, you do five or six hours and then you go relax and go in the hotel," said Salazar
